"So, what do you do, exactly?"

Really, I'm a writer. Well, really I'm a photographer, and a writer some of the time. In between going to shows, geeking out about shows, and drinking silly amounts of espresso, I drive a desk at a non-profit. I'm pretty much the most excited person I know, about Seattle in general I mean -- my inner fangirl (you know, with the blog that six people were reading back in the beginning of the decade, full of blurry point-and-shoot pictures) still freaks out that this is my life now. Like, every day almost.

Digging on all this stuff is why I get out of bed in the morning. I love Cheryl Waters and I firmly believe that KEXP is the greatest radio station in all the land -- Ray Lamontagne's in-studio in October of 2004 permanently altered the fabric of my existence. When I run out of room on my iPod, I'll never delete any Wrens or Frames albums. I like Wilco. I'm constantly swooning over and/or aching about something. And I'm not that good at making mix tapes, but I adore them like I adore nothing else.

Oh, and if I had a million dollars, I wouldn't change much. I'd just get some better equipment and fly to more shows.
